This image is one of our most popular. It was shot in the Woodhill Forest at Muriwai Beach. I was walking with a dear friend and we turned around and looked behind us and saw the sunlight shining through the tree trunks.
She alerted me to the beauty of the sight and I captured it.
It was a good reminder for me to look more deeply at the world around me and find beauty in unlikely places.
