"Beloved is a book of beauty and gentleness, words calming the heart and taking us to a larger place, each poem illustrated with well chosen photographs. It is rare to find a book that presents suffering as a source of wisdom. We live in a pain-avoidance society that dictates a variety of analgesics, but Emma Farry, in the spirit of the Beatitudes, invites us into a stillness where suffering is seen as the birthing of a new life."

Beloved is an antidote to these crazy, accelerated and uncertain times. It encourages us to slow down, breathe deeply and connect with our true nature in order to become more present in our own lives. The timing for the book is perfect as we navigate all manner of challenges in our world.
This book is the culmination of two years of grieving. Nature helped Emma to heal, and in the process, revealed to her a new way of seeing the world. Instead of running from the pain in her heart, she decided to sit on a rock and attempt to understand, and eventually befriend it.
Along with soothing, silent wisdom, her rock gave her deep gratitude for the guidance and beauty of nature, and awakened in her a love of photography.
The photos and blessings that came to her on the rock, have been brought together in an elegant and powerful way by her friend, book designer Wade Wu.
Emma offers this book to all of those who are going through, or have been through hard times. She hopes the comforting energy of this book finds its way directly to your heart.
