The Dunedin community was thrilled that Emma Farry chose the city she was born and brought up in, to launch her new book, Freedom Song. About one hundred invited guests attended the launch which was held at Gallery De Novo. Emma explained the meaning of the book and the journey from its inception when she was 25 years old, to finally getting her thoughts out of her head and into words. The words are complemented meaningfully by Ewan McDougall’s painting. Ewan was also at the Dunedin launch and spoke about his contribution to the book.
As Dunedinites, we are proud of Emma’s literary achievements, but the Dunedin Lebanese community is especially proud of such a humble, talented and charming young woman.
Emma also appeared on "The Cafe" being interviewed about her book.
